I've always been passionate about video quality and how to measure it.My career started with doing experiments on mobile video streaming quality and usability — I have been researching in this area for 15 years and counting.AVEQ is my brainchild. Together with Alexander Dethof and Alexander Raake, we founded AVEQ as a means to offer flexible and independent software solutions to monitor and analyze video and web quality of service and experience (QoS & QoE). Our tools are used by world-leading and international Internet Service Providers.At AVEQ I am responsible for business decisions and guiding the software development efforts. I provide in-depth data analyses for our customers. I also am a regular participant of international standardization groups (e.g., VQEG, ITU-T) in order to bring the newest developments into the market.With AVEQ we have already realized large-scale national monitoring projects, comprising thousands of real users and covering different video streaming services – now we are seeking to expand into the international market to help Internet service providers, video streaming providers and mobile network operators achieve customer satisfaction.Don't hesitate to contact me if you want to schedule a demo of one of our products, or talk about your solution!————Before starting AVEQ I worked at the Ilmenau University of Technology with the Audiovisual Technology Group, where I was a researcher in 2018. From 2014–2018, I worked at the Telekom Innovation Laboratories of Deutsche Telekom AG and TU Berlin, where I was a fellow of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network "QoE-Net".I received my diploma degree in computer science from the University of Vienna, where I worked as a researcher from 2009 until 2013. My research interests are Quality of Experience for multimedia applications and user behavior aspects for Web TV services.
