I also actively pair program with the team about 40% of the time helping share knowledge of our codebase, teach proper TDD practices, and mentor the more junior engineers.I also work closely with our product and business teams, running our weekly Iteration Planning Meetings (IPMs), Retrospectives, and helping to set longer term priorities and estimates.

As the tech lead on the team, we have built an inventory service to better support our ticketed deals, created new avenues for SEO and merchandising, and supported integrations with external ticket provider's inventory. I am also involved in mentoring other members of the team, teaching best practices such as test-driven-development and setting up proper monitoring, alerting, and documentation.Our tech stack is built from a wide variety of languages and technologies including Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Redis, Memcache, and Java among others.Additionally, I am a Groupon Engineering Ambassador, and lead orientation for new engineers on their first day, introducing them to and explaining all the tools we use, and am a 2-time internal hackathon winner.
