Solutions Specialist

Brisbane, Australia

As solution specialist I was brought on to review the implementation of the D365 for Sales (CRM) platform of Calibre Group (encompassing at the time G&S, Diona, and Calibre).Using my previous experience of rolling out a custom built Excel based reporting tool based on sales data within Deltek Vision ERP I set out on the project to reimagine the *Why*.Using the Why, I developed the What and the How to then understand what the system was and wasn't proving to the company. During an intense 9 month project I completely relaunched the tool to the business, simplified its use and managed the upgrade from v8 to v9 which introduced the new Unified User Interface (UUI). I trained over 200 staff directly by going all across our offices in Australia and New Zealand translating the tool (D365 for Sales) to the business using my background as an engineer. I provided finance and the business the right dimensions and rules to ensure the data would be reliable. After a successful relaunch, the business for the first time had a single source of truth for their pipeline (coming from disparate systems, and no systems). This laid the foundations for the current complete ERP upgrade to D365 F&O and D365 Project Operations. After this engagement I was asked to review several workflow and Digital form technologies that would lead to a role out of six completely automated new eForms (CAPEX, Transaction Approvals, Board Circular Resolution, Request to Recruit, Employment Agreement Request, Variation Approval Request, End of Employment) and accompanying workflows using Nintex Forms and Nintex Workflow augmented by Azure Logic Apps, Azure APIM, Service Bus, and ARM Templates for proper ALM and deployment. Using both traditional REST APIs, SOAP APIs, MSSQL Views and Stored Procedures, as well as some RPA through Nintex RPA (Foxtrot) / Power Automate Desktop to link into an existing HRIS systems (Connx) for both source of employee master data and the creation and variation of employees.

Brisbane, Australia

Opus Australia started a new Mechanical, Electrical and Energy division with a small team which I was part off. The division is now 16 strong having grown significantly in a short period of time. I played an extensive role in the set-up of systems and processes such that the division could run effectively. I am heavily involved in the divisions operations and financial administration liaising with the business services team and supporting our team and the divisional manager. For our Asset and Energy services I introduced 'Particular', a web- based iPad app to the company which gained great support from both the Australian and New Zealand businesses and changed the way we do our condition assessments and energy audits.I also supported the Australian IT team with some of their existing web based applications such as the Training Hub and other smaller apps.
