Working as geologist in the Water and Natural Resources Department, I was involved in a wide range of projects, mainly related to the Danish national groundwater mapping project.Primarily I worked on hydrostratigraphical models, using GeoScene 3D, as a part of groundwater vulnerability mapping. The skills that I used in my modelling assignments is the knowledge about general geological processes and understanding of regional geological conditions, combined with proficiency in modelling tool. Moreover, while modelling, I worked with a wide variety of data and large datasets e.g. boreholes, seismic profiles, chemistry data and various geophysical methods like SkyTEM, TEM, MEP, PACES, MRS and SSV. Besides modelling, I worked on processing and analysing various data related to geology, groundwater chemistry, vulnerability of water aquifers, pollution and agriculture. To visualise the data I use ArcGIS, MapInfo and Illustratur.

During the internship in the Water, Energy and Nature Department I was working on number of projects including:- collecting soil samples at contaminated sites,- collecting groundwater samples from wells in order to identify the source of pesticides contamination,- a literature study and field work regarding the effects on forests from lowering the groundwater table through increased groundwater abstraction,- heavy metals measurements in contaminated soil using the analytical technique X-ray fluorescence,- geological modeling using the software package Leapfrog Hydro.

During the internship in the Polish Geological Institute I was working in the Department of Monitoring and Assessment of Groundwater. I was a part of the team working on the EU project - The Water Framework Directive. The main aim of the project is to achieve good qualitative and quantitative status of all water bodies in the European Union member states. My main task was to prepare and edit results for the report about the chemical and quantitative conditions of the 161 defined groundwater bodies on the Polish territory.

The internship was realised in the Department of Geology and Geological Concessions. I was preparing official documents related to applying and granting of concessions for oil and gas research and exploration on the Polish territory.
