I) Organizing the participation of the Italian SMEs to the 4th World Water Forum (Mexico City, March 2006)II) Acting as a deputy to the Director, I was in charge of activities planning towards the ForumIII) Responsible for fundraising activities in order to support the participation of Italian SMEs to the Forum

Acting as a Deputy to the Director, I was required to monitor Italian financed projects, concerning the strengthening of the “PP Partnership” and the Private Sector in the Moroccan development process, by:I) participating in EU Round Tables in Rabat, paying special attention to the following dossiers: Local Economic Development policies, SME competitiveness, PP Partnership, EU acquis communautaire, EU cohesion;II) supporting (on the behalf of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs) the implementation of the European Commission programme for the development and competitiveness of the Moroccan Private Sector;III) attending a number of meetings with representatives of the Moroccan government (Ministère des Finances, Agence Nationale de Promotion de la Petite et Moyenne Entreprise, Centres Régionaux d’Investissement,…) and with International Institutions (the European Commission’s Delegation to Morocco, UN Agencies, World Bank,…), to discuss issues related to the mise à niveau of Moroccan SMEs, mainly in terms of the financing component and technical assistance for setting up an institutional framework for the support of SMEs development.IV) assisting an Italian sponsored project implemented by UNIDO (United Nations for Industrial Development Organisation), to enhance SMEs role and competitiveness, through an Investment Promotion Unit, to facilitate access to bank credit by small and medium entrepreneurs

Acting as First Assistant of the Social Affairs Councilor, I was in charge of I) assisting the Councilor in his administrative duties and day-by-day activities; II) reporting to French institutions on Italian policies concerning welfare, economic and social issues and immigration; III) drafting reports and papers in order to prepare meetings between the staff members and local partners; IV) organizing institutional visits of French Ministries members staff to Italy in order to establish commune policies about social affairs and immigration with Italian partners.

I was required to assist the Co-ordinator of the Development Projects Department, in particular collecting and preparing documentation for Italian companies interested in participating in international tenders.
