I added a new dimension to my skill set that was industry specific. I managed and directed one of the top 3 revenue-generating offices out of the company’s 400 plus locations. I was directly responsible for sales and production in practice. I also analyzed and forecasted trends and opportunities within the practice and region. I monitored the budget and overseen all purchasing and ordering at practice. I fostered relationships with the Doctors and worked directly with them to coordinate the schedule for procedures and surgeries in office. I also established relationships with other practices so that we were able to schedule and coordinate referred out procedures. I learned to bill and code all procedures to insurance providers for reimbursement. While at the office, I would input treatment plans into multiple systems and consult patients and discuss those treatment options. As the director, I would review and audit patients’ physical and digital charts. I was responsible for staffing and developing schedules for staff both clinical and administrative as well as staffing the area where needed. With my role as the compliance officer, I would oversee training and education for staff and ensuring all state and federal requirements are accurately met and up to date. I became well versed in policies and mandates set forth by state and nationally legislature. In addition to the daily duties necessary to run the office I also worked to established business relationships with other organizations and set up “Smile Savers” wellness agreements for business. I would call on numerous large and small businesses and negotiate packages for their employees. I was also heavily involved in the community and strived to coordinate charity work and events. As the Event Manager with eSports Partners and The University of Tennessee Athletic Department I led the way with revolutionizing the way souvenirs and merchandise were sold at athletic events and online. I also orchestrated the way the game day operations were driven during one of the world’s biggest sporting events, 110 thousand plus people in an overwhelming sea of beautiful orange and all needing the newest gear from Adidas. This opportunity provided many of the networking and problem solving skills that have helped me thus far in my career. Throughout the year we witnessed explosive growth in sales not only in and around the stadiums at game day but managed to offer merchandise to those not as fortunate to have tickets to the game but was watching in town. We also initiated the utilization of the Internet for the university to offer authentic merchandise and memorabilia to Vol fans around the world. I managed to do all of this while managing staffs ranging from 75-125 employees on a given day. The challenges and obstacles faced during this virtual startup laid a solid foundation that I have strived to continue to build upon.
