As Vice Chairman, I play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic initiatives at Goodwill Central Texas. I have chaired the Compensation Committee and led the Ad-Hoc CEO Search Committee, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top leadership talent. Reporting to the CEO, and responsible for leading a Human Resource team of around 100 leaders and professionals, including HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations and Compliance, HR Technology, Payroll, HR Shared Services, Total Rewards, and the Program Management Office. At the time, GameStop operated 4,300 stores, USD $6bn in revenue, and more than 30,000 employees in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

In this role, I was brought in by the CEO/COO and the primary shareholder to help integrate multiple acquisitions and 700 employees into a cohesive organization. I led change management efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic and helped prepare the company for asset disposition. By implementing workforce planning strategies and developing leadership talent, I ensured business continuity and readiness for future recovery.

As VP of People & Culture, I strategically led the HR function across the U.S., U.K., and Canada, integrating multiple acquisitions while scaling operations to support significant revenue growth over three years. My leadership in driving organizational performance and mitigating risk during the acquisition process helped secure a $480 million private equity exit. I worked closely with the Board of Directors and executive leadership to implement a compensation philosophy that rewarded performance and reinforced key business behaviors.

At Target, I partnered with senior leaders across two districts, supporting $600 million in annual sales and 3,500 employees. I focused on driving talent strategy, employee relations, and compliance, resulting in improved team performance and engagement. My ability to build strong relationships with leaders and employees helped ensure alignment with corporate objectives, driving growth and operational success.

In this role, I managed training and development for 85 Target locations that grossed $2.3B in revenue and employed 12,000 employees. I identified business gaps and developed training solutions that improved profitability and team performance. By facilitating leadership development programs, I contributed to building a pipeline of high-performing leaders.

During my time as Executive Team Leader, I supported HR operations for a store with $42 million in annual sales and 180 employees. I played a key role in driving talent acquisition, employee development, and engagement, ensuring that HR strategies were aligned with business goals to maximize profitability.

As IT Generalist at Floor & Decor, I supported the company’s rapidly growing IT infrastructure by managing various technical projects, including system upgrades and process automation. My work enabled more efficient business operations and enhanced data management capabilities.

In my earlier role as a Sales Auditor, I improved the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting through diligent auditing practices, which contributed to stronger financial controls and operational transparency.
