Responsible for the oversight and management of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe's Human Resource Department. Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, compliance, and enforcement of SRST's Title XVlll, Personnel & Drug and Alcohol policies and procedures, background check, compensation plan, benefits package, etc. •Establish and maintain an efficient recruitment process with departmental rating internal controls.•Work with supervisors, directors and program managers to analyze the need for positions and conducting desk audits.•Maintain and annually review the recruitment process and matrix.•Develop, implement and enforce, interpret, oversee, and maintain plans and policies for compensation, drug and alcohol testing, background/character investigation, fingerprinting, personnel policies and procedures, Title XVlll, HR records management, etc.•Reviewed and evaluated performance evaluation process annually.•Reinstituted and Conducted new employee orientation.•Initiated, Facilitated and maintained HR strategic plan.•Reviewed and updated all policies and procedures on an annual basis for compliance with federal laws or tribal regulations.•Served on Interview Panel, Grievance and Administrative Review Committees.•Established MOU to conduct fingerprinting and background checks.•Review, concur or deny requests for disciplinary actions.•Conducted HR staff performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.•Created and implemented training for the organization.•Initated process for new Salary & compensation plan.•Maintain oversight and review benefit packages on an annual basis with the Benefits Administrator.•Assist all organization supervisors, directors and program managers in developing dept employee files.•Facilitated implementation of Human Resource Information System (HRIS). * Established Ergonomic Initiative Program.
