Ideal Impact was founded for one purpose - to give back. Wes and his team of energy experts began working with Christian ministries in 2009 with the vision of reclaiming $1 Billion for these ministries to better accomplish their mission. Ideal Impact reached that goal. In 2015, we expanded our reach to Texas school districts and colleges with a new goal of $10 Billion for Christian ministry and Education.More than 130 school districts and over 700 ministries in the state of Texas trust us to partner with them to save energy and move money back into their M & O budget. Wes led the organization that started as the Energy Solutions Division of CSI/Control Systems International, then became TAC and finally Schneider Electric. He was a top technical resource and involved in many technical strategies, brainstorming and decisions on multiple projects. Wes led major energy conservation projects over millions of square feet across the globe and advised many top executives in multiple companies in energy conservation measures. These projects included optimizing savings, solving technical issues for clients and leading in optimal recommendations going forward on construction or changes in the building. Technologies vary from HVAC, controls, lighting, energy management systems, to many others. Wes also led the growth and development of people.Wes was recommended by the Department of Energy to be part of a three person committee to advise President Clinton on how to save energy in buildings. He helped write legislation in multiple states across the US and the European Union to increase energy conservation and to protect the clients with ethical energy savings. When the Clinton Foundation brought city managers across Europe and Africa together in Paris, France to spend 8 hours learning about ways to conserve energy, Wes was asked to be the one to teach them. It was the only time they, as a group, had been together in person to discuss energy conservation at that time. Wes consulted with 7 of the 10 largest electric companies in the US by meeting with portions of their strategic planning committees to help guide the direction of their companies.

Developed and managed the organization to sell and deliver guaranteed energy savings projects. In 1991, Wes was instrumental in writing the first law in the State of Texas governing energy savings projects. Throughout his career, he has helped write a number of energy savings laws for the European Union and for multiple states and has helped modify them over the years. Wes always had a focus on real savings and doing what is best for his clients.

Wes started a security company from the ground up. Designed, built and installed security systems for small business and residential clients. Sold the company.
