Wesaf Energy solutions ltd was formed in 2015 with the remit of establishing a business model focused on combining agriculture and renewable energy production to satisfy the energy trilemma. up till now those outside of towns and cities are greatly underserved by existing grid networks or social programs aimed at developing regions electrifying them whilst supporting the local economies. By Identifying sugarcane as the most viable natural resource for feedstock we set about developing a business model that would create complete synergy between the cultivation , the industrial process and the development impact of a project. Set on 322 hectares of land owned by the company it is our intention to not only demonstrate a viable working business also show that through a transparent holistic approach this industrial project can be the catalyst for the complete regeneration of what is a strategic geographic location on the border of Cameroon and Nigeria. Power production and inclusive employment and farming schemes stand to have huge socio-economic impacts on the region, and through the medium of developing technology we can implement innovation solutions to issues that were once deemed unfeasible for remote locations.
