Rumi once said ''Poison is anything which is more than our necessity, it may be power, wealth, hunger, ego, greed, laziness, love, ambition, hate or anything".I think that same rules applied on food & nutrition. Excess or low caloric intake (comparing to person’s requirements) could be poison to your health or to your child’s growth.The truth is I have always been passionate about nutrition and healthy lifestyle, but never fully explored the idea until this one moment...When I first applied for Clinical Nutrition Department at Abu El-Reesh Hospital in 2019, I was fearful because I had no real experience in that area, but decided to take the leap and have not looked back ever since.The thrill I feel on seeing a mother happy and satisfied for her child’s improvement (whether he/she were suffering from obesity, faltering growth, metabolic disorder or following ketogenic diet) is priceless.I had the honor of participating in two medical conferences: Middle-East Pediatric conference (MPC) 2022, 2023 as a speaker about successful nutritional cases.Also I helped in enlightening several pediatricians (from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Oman) about proper nutrition during weaning and nutrition for toddlers, in a workshop (March 2024).
