The Queensland University of Technology launched an initiative to kick-start the development of a next-generation identity management platform aiming to streamline access management.As the Senior Software Engineer on the team, I collaborated closely with the Solution Architect to establish the foundations of the platform. My key contributions include:- Built a maintainable rules engine in Kotlin to calculate identity attributes for staff, students and alumni utilised by upstream access systems.- Created a mechanism to programmatically obtain identity attributes through AWS AppSync/GraphQL for use by other systems.

Idea 11 is an Advanced AWS Consulting Partner with a focus on migrating customers to the cloud, transforming customer deployment processes, developing applications/systems utilising cloud native services and educating customers on cloud best practices.In this role, I specialised in Data and Analytics utilising the AWS platform and aiding customers on their journey to benefiting from unique insights within their data. AWS services include, S3, Athena, Aurora, Redshift, API Gateway, Lambda, Kinesis, ECS/Fargate and much more. Visualisation tools include, Power BI, Tableau and QuickSight. Languages include, Python, Java and React.I have mentored and provided architecture guidance to ensure project success. I believe in equipping people with the required knowledge and providing space for people to perform their best work within a tailored supportive environment.

In this role, I provided integration of datasets, creation of historic and real-time data ingestion pipelines and delivered solutions to achieve customer goals.The solutions I worked on covered a wide range of technology stacks, including Python, Django, Pandas, Powershell and cloud native services in Amazon Web Services.

brightSPARK Labs is a consultancy service that encourages engineering brilliance.This role provided the fantastic opportunity of being embedded into data and analytics company, Palantir. This provided the opportunity to gain a deeper experience in data integrations utilising Java and consulting to ensure the correct product-fit against customer requirements.In addition, I closed the gap between our customers and their competitors by providing an analytical dashboard developed in Javascript, AngularJS, HTML and CSS with a PostgreSQL Database with a custom SAML 2.0 identity provider plugin.These solutions provided a bespoke platform and unique actionable insights into the customer's dataset.

In this role, I absorbed world-class cyber security awareness and culture from a leading organisation. I facilitated the provision of information security advice relating to cryptographic and software practices for Government agencies.I automated data ingestion pipelines across Java and Python on hardened Linux and Windows Platforms. I created web applications and RESTful APIs utilising Java and Play Framework to increase the capability of the organisation.

I prepared and communicated Java programming lesson plans to students and provided written statements of assessments for student assessment solutions. I provided customised answers to student queries on forums and mentored students by providing guidance to promote learning within individuals. This enabled students to engage in a classroom and learn about the Java programming language.
