Although I had led an initial upgrade of our website (it was originally built as a primitive PDF), I and my colleagues recognized the need to rebuild the entire site into a mobile-responsive, massively capable site that could handle millions of dollars of annual ecommerce revenues. Working across departments, I determined the site components that would serve our business and customers best. We added ecommerce / shopping cart functionality on top of a strategic architecture, category system, and search capability, simplifying user access to our products and improving our user experience.Interestingly, our new site not only added 25% new revenue, it worked so well on the user side that customer inquiries by phone initially overloaded our customer service team. By adding chat functionality to the site, we alleviated some of the pressure experienced by the customer service group while actually increasing sales conversions around 50%.Additionally, I led strategies to develop new and promote new content in multiple ways, on our site’s blog, via PPC, SEO, across social media and retargeting, and through link building. Spearheaded team of developers on SaaS platform for multiple implementations and migrations leveraging HTML, CSS, and Java technologies continually improving UX.
