My primary architectural focus included delivering new feature functionality quicker and enabling faster A/B and multivariate testing.

I joined the R&D department at Prog Leasing as part of the leadership team that would drive the organization into the future. My team and I delivered the first consumer-facing product in 82 days, which included re-platforming our native mobile app. My role was expanded to lead all consumer-facing products/initiatives thanks to our early success. My journey at Prog included leading our migration to the cloud, new product development, architecting our future-state architecture, and, most importantly, developing people, which led to my founding of the junior developer program. I take pride in the fact that I was impacting Prog in many ways, including positively affecting culture, improving our developer's experience, and leading our tech stack into the future.

I had the privilege of leading our Web and Cloud Practice, which included overseeing an org of 70+ and leading teams across development centers throughout the U.S. I oversaw and solutioned projects for the likes of UPS, Parkmobile, Better Cloud, Ninety.io, Hayneedle.com, and many others. I positively impacted culture, and developer experience, reduced attrition, and increased velocity across many teams.

I was directly responsible for a 150% increase in up-sell product take rate, which netted a 26% increase in year-over-year revenue. Additionally, I increased user conversion by over 400%. My day-to-day included owning the front end of our consumer tax preparation software, integrating with third-parties such as American Express, and leading the 508 compliance efforts to satisfy the requirements of the IRS.My proudest accomplishment at TaxSlayer is being recognized by executive leadership and my peers as the 2016 Most Value Employee thanks to my contributions to our products and culture.

I founded Dollar Ventures right as the 2008 recession hit. I was able to navigate the waters and build my company successfully, ultimately operating five companies and other concepts under the Dollar Ventures umbrella, which included a boutique consulting firm, an e-commerce endeavor, and multiple SaaS product offerings. My firm had the privilege of serving the likes of Proctor & Gamble, Walmart, Target, Gap, Old Navy, and many others, ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Our SaaS offerings served thousands of users and businesses. Two of these were acquired by other organizations. My merchant services company continues to serve businesses and engineers to this day.My proudest accomplishment during this period was the development of a home-brewed e-commerce platform, built on top of Laravel, that has powered over $17m in sales for a mid-size business and continues to serve their needs. Through this platform, I was able to automate many of their business system processes and order fulfillment logistics, saving them countless hours and aiding in increased sales, quicker order fulfillment, and a better overall customer experience.
