CurrentI love creatively solving the problems of people. The world has many important and unsolved problems, but fortunately, it also offers most of what it takes to make solutions. All that’s needed are interested souls to assemble the pieces. That’s where I come in.In simple terms, I automate the work of small and medium businesses by building software. I founded Practical Inventions (PI, for short) to evolve businesses into effective enterprises for the digital future. PI builds custom software and integrations to transform administration, workflows, marketing, and customer engagement.I build with clients using an interactive and collaborative approach. Relationships with clients often grow over years of time, walking in manageable steps to meet each client’s reality. We listen for what you really need, establish mutual understanding, assemble a solution, test it, and share feedback regularly. We build quickly and efficiently using a collection of reliable, shareable, interoperable parts. My open approach to software often frees clients from locked-in solutions that burned them in the past. At the end of the day, I want people empowered in every way to run and grow the solutions we’ve built together.I have a particular craft - I build first-of-their-kind, open-source systems that reliably accomplish real-world work. I’m an engineer who puts solutions to good use in the world. I’m a troubleshooter who creates best in the trenches. I’m a teacher who empowers people with technological tools to serve well in a digital world. It is my privilege to continue this work some 8 years later.Let's get to work. :0)
