I have worked with companies across almost every single industry, ranging in size from 10 employees to over 30,000. With the opportunity to visit and spend time in almost every industry, I have a well-rounded outlook on how business works as well as the challenges that various industries face. With having the opportunity to talk with employees of a range of different companies, it has allowed to feel the pains that other people face and to realize that everyone is an expert at something. A CEO, of a furniture company for instance, might be an expert at networking or increasing sales through innovation and streamlining of process, but wouldn't even know where to start if you told him to go on the line and work the lathe for table legs and vice versa with the lathe worker. Everyone has a different set of experiences and you can learn from everyone from the bottom of an organization to the top, so my experience and learning will never stop. Benefits has proven to be one of the best careers for me because it affords the ability to see so many different types of companies.
