The system automatically repartitions and applies indexes as needed. Implementing this solution reduced batch report generation times from 16 hours to 5 minutes (by 99%).• Constructed a system which allowed users perform on-the-fly reporting on datasets of 5.5 billion data points, which resulted in a reduction report generation times from 5 minutes to about 10 seconds (by 96%), when compared to batch generated reports.• Improved report generation when using hierarchical data, dropping generation times from upwards of 40 minutes to about 20 seconds (by 99%). • Implemented a key-value-time-revision data storage mechanism in SQL which facilitated asynchronous, non-locking writes, allowing for schema changes without code pushes and background data processing which was not previously available.
