Broadcasts cover RIT's Division I Hockey Team, and air live on the Time Warner Cable Sports Network across New York State as well as TSN in Canada.As a Camera Technician: - Responsible for guiding the setup and preparing of the cameras for live hockey broadcasts, and the tear-out afterwards.- Constantly work to make improvements to the various picture settings within the cameras to provide the best picture match between the various camera models, and the most aesthetically pleasing picture possible for the broadcast.- During the broadcast, I am responsible for communicating with the camera operators to address any issues that may arise, and act as a liaison between them and the engineering team if needed.A usual set-up includes 10-12 cameras:- 4 human-operated Panasonic HPX500s and 6-8 Panasonic robotic cameras.As a Shader:- Responsible for adjusting the apertures, white balances, and overall color of all cameras during the live broadcast to provide the best technical and creative image quality, as well as the best visual match between cameras.
