I am passionate about ensuring employees have a positive work experience; with a wide variety of skills including time management, creative writing, and problem-solving.I started my career working as a part-time teller at a Financial Center for Independent Financial. After succeeding in the teller role for over 2 years, I took the jump and moved to the HR department as the Human Resources intern in 2019. I gained experience working in all areas of HR including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Leave of Absence, and HRIS. I gained a full-time position at Independent Financial after graduating with my bachelor's in business administration from Texas Woman's University. My full-time role started as a support for the Talent Acquisition team, working requisitions, sourcing candidates, supporting managers, and completing pre-employment processes. Since then, I have expanded my role to include assisting with the leave of absence process, supporting Workday implementation projects, and coordinating company-wide HR communications. In my current role, I am in charge of coordinating the company-wide summer internship program. I attend job fairs, develop connections with schools, select candidates, coordinate between managers and department leaders, all to create an incredible summer experience for students.
