I have spent the majority of my working life in the metal building industry. I started at the lower level, doing mail room and archives services. Then, I moved into drafting and detailing, much of which was manual detailing. The company moved more into AutoCAD as well as other computer-based drafting and design systems, such as MBS. I became the lead checker for the lower complexity building department and eventually moved into a Project Management roll in a sales function. I have spent several years building relationships with inside and outside customers and managing the sales projects, following them from initial order all the way to time of shipment. Customer contacts have been from all over the United States as well as Canada. I am driven by great customer service, helping customers to get what they need in a timely manner and making sure the process is profitable and economical for the customer and the company at the same time. I work very well with customers over the phone or in person and also effectively communicate over e-mail. I am flexible and mindful of different personality types and the urgency of the situation at hand, and I adjust my communication to match. I am a family man who strives to maintain a balance between a healthy family life and a healthy work life. I am not driven by money, but rather driven by integrity, character, and a healthy work ethic. As long as the customers are taken care of, business is moving forward, and my family is supplied for then I am a happy employee.
