I develop and implement strategies for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major donors to support and grow the university's mission of transforming undergraduate and graduate students into engaged global citizens. Accomplishments include:• Raising $1 million in funds and logging more than 160 visits in my first year in major giving.• Helping nearly triple the overall amount of funds raised at USCA in my first year of major giving. • Helping grow a sponsorship into a major gift to the School of Business Administration.• Helping manage the 2023 Family Fund — the university's internal giving campaign — to achieve consecutive years of more than 90 percent participation.• Co-chairing "The Mane Event," a celebration of USC Aiken's championship equestrian teams, which raised more than $70,000 for the program.• Securing a $100,000 gift to establish an endowed program fund for USC Aiken’s equestrian teams.• Recruiting a chair to establish a Fundraising Committee for the university's partnership board. • Streamlining university communications through the increased use of direct marketing efforts through Blackbaud CRM.• Creating a new text messaging system to send donors monthly updates on key developments at the university.• Building relationships with key industry partners in the region to grow support for the university's colleges and schools.

I provide project management support for both the development and implementation of annual fund efforts to ensure a cohesive approach for all fundraising activities. Accomplishments include:• Launching a new sponsorship program at USC Aiken's Convocation Center that doubled community support for university athletics to more than $100,000.• Helping manage the 2022 Family Fund — the university's internal giving campaign — which received its highest participation in six years at more than 90 percent.• Working with university faculty members and alumni groups to organize direct marketing efforts in Blackbaud CRM to raise funds for student scholarships and research projects.• Launching USC Aiken's first Giving Tuesday campaign called "Many Pacers Helping" to unite alumni, faculty, staff and donors to advance the school's mission. The campaign raised $56,786 in its first year from more than 150 donations.• Creating a solicitation calendar that provides a well-balanced timeline for the school's different events, alumni groups, schools and departments to raise critical funds in support of its mission and purposes.• Developing new fundraising guidelines to help best support the needs of the university's different colleges, schools and units.• Representing USC Aiken on the University of South Carolina system's Blackbaud CRM Steering Committee to share best practices and communicate updates.• Starting a new giving day called "All 4 Aiken" to raise funds in support of the university’s schools of study and specialized areas that support academic research, alumni outreach, athletics, and the arts and sciences. The first year raised more than $26,000 from 120 donors, almost half of which were alumni.• Helping bring new energy to USC Aiken's signature community event, Pacers & Polo, by increasing sponsorships by more than 90 percent.

I helped plan and execute three federal grants, totaling more than $300,000, from the National Security Agency (NSA) and National Science Foundation to lead three Gencyber camps for middle school teachers on the campus of Westminster Schools of Augusta, one in 2019, 2021 and 2022. Responsibilities included:• Coordinated logistics of the camp with numerous school departments, including Development, Educational Technology, Finance and Marketing• Oversaw purchasing and reconciling of all expenses to grant funding• Completed Webinar training to lead a successful camp that educated 30 teachers on how to raise up the next generation of Cyber stars• Maintained camp records, grant reports and regular communications with GenCyber administrative staff

I oversaw donor relations and managed fundraising initiatives to advance the mission of Westminster Schools of Augusta. Accomplishments included:• Increased parent participation in the schools' annual fund from 37 to 92 percent• Led annual fund campaigns that collectively raised more than $1.1 million for the school• Worked with teams of volunteers to organize multiple auctions that collectively raised more than $273,000 for the school• Started an annual Giving Tuesday challenge that raised more than $275,000 for the school in four years• Developed and launched an all-school sponsorship program that raised more than $75,000 in its first year and included benefits ranging across a variety of school programs, including athletics and fine arts• Coordinated a service fundraiser for the school that raised $126,000 and provided 10,000 meals for hungry families in the CSRA and Haiti• More than doubled tax-credit scholarship funds awarded to the school to $322,000• Organized a brick campaign that raised more than $13,000 for the school• Won a $25,000 grant from State Farm to start Fully Wired, a robotics league for all Augusta-area students• Helped launch a new app that streamlined communications for school families and supporters• Established a text-messaging system to grow alumni engagement• Performed an online search to update nearly 1,000 donor records to include contact information for 90 percent of the school’s 1,200 alumni. Before the search, the school had contact information for about a third of its alumni.• Worked with alumni to create a new giving campaign that grew alumni participation from 4 to 11 ½ percent for consecutive years• Grew a testimonial page that features profiles of noteworthy alumni

I worked closely with community leaders in Richmond, Burke, Jenkins, Jefferson and Emanuel counties to raise funds, recruit volunteers and expand youth programs in the Augusta area.Accomplishments achieved include:• Collaborated with volunteers in the private sector to raise more than $75,000 and triple fundraising totals in a five-county district• Helped organize the council's inaugural Distinguished Citizen Lunch to honor a retired Army general and raise more than $30,000• Increased popcorn sales by more than 40 percent from $38,000 in 2015 to $55,660 in 2017. As staff adviser, council popcorn sales increased by 6 percent in 2017.• Increased membership in all youth Scouting programs by more than 22 percent in 2017 by starting 16 new units in 18 months. That’s a new unit every 35 days. New units include 11 traditional Cub Scout packs, 3 Boy Scout troops, one Venturing crew and one Exploring post• Retained 94 percent of district units in 2017• Recruited and managed volunteers to organize the district’s inaugural Cub Scout Day Camp• Recruited and managed volunteers to nearly double attendance at Spookoree, the council's fall camporee, from 750 to 1,300 youth and adults• Helped district earn recognition in the BSA's Journey to Excellence system for first time since the program was introduced in 2011. The district obtained silver status• Grew the number of trained direct-contact leaders in the district from 25 percent to 43 percent• More than doubled the size of district committee by recruiting new key members, including District Chairman, and vice chairs of Finance and Membership • Helped redesign the council's newsletter and Web site to improve communication efforts

I uncovered the truth, and exposed taxpayer waste and abuses of power through collecting and analyzing data about newsworthy events by interview, investigation and observation.

I followed Greenville city government closely to highlight to readers the use of their tax dollars inside and outside of the public eye.

I cultivated relationships with law enforcement professionals to compile multi-media packages dissecting trends in the local criminal justice system. I also headed a social media task force to connect readers to the paper more easily.

I had a hand in every aspect of production: reported news on crime, education and government; took photographs; designed the front page and inside sections and delivered the papers to newsstands.

I worked as an intern for the Examiner's "Yes and Nays" column, which deals with entertainment and political gossip circulating around the district.

I wrote articles and took photographs of high school and college sports.
