When Schlumberger acquired Bull Smart Card systems I was part of the IT transition team responsible for overseeing the installation and commissioning of all the IT the equipment, which included both the office and factory sections. When the offices and factory were relocated to the new premises in Hampshire, I was tasked with trouble shooting and support of the standard and bespoke applications.Significant achievements include:Assisted in the successful seamless migration of the new and existing systems, both hardware and software, from the existing, soon to be decommissioned site to new offices and factory in Hampshire.Supported new and existing users at our new location for a smooth transition.Implemented new processes, one key process was for the credit card pin number print machine to enhance production and therefore productivity. Work here started in the kitchens as a Kitchen Porter on a part time basis, whilst studying at college. This very quickly progressed to front of house work with customers coming in for lunch and dinner in the restaurants. As I was very familiar with computers I was often asked to help with the EPOS system (Micros) and main reception would call on me to help them with any PC problems they might have with machines or printers.
