CurrentSupport the Ship Design Manager (SDM) in guiding Program Managers to develop Total Ship SystemsEngineering TSSE solutions for class-related issues to ensure they effectively meet the Expected ServiceLife.• Assist the SDM in offering engineering solutions, risk assessments, and methods to address major issuesfor ships and the class overall.• Support SDM in applying the top-level performance requirements while formulating an overall plan forNavy engineering support of the ship design project.• Maintain a design history and audit trail of decisions made on various projects as well as personneland financial resource utilization.• Track the completion of assigned actions and interfacing with team members for the weeklyreporting of team metrics.• Assist in facilitating a timely resolution for technical issues by bringing all the competing interests togetherto strive for consensus and optimize performance at the Total Ship level.• Support SDM in leading technical authority reviews and concurrence which includes coordination withother cognizant TWHs and certification authorities.• Maintain open communication channels with upper management through regular progress updates andreporting significant technical issues.• Manage multiple projects on behalf of the Ship Design Manager• Assist in the development of NLign, a data platform that provides technical and data-driven analysis oftank structure/weight and stability to identify the required maintenance to accomplish in aresourced constrained environment.
