This was a technology start-up that I started with my father. Our goal was to bring a local break/fix pc store to Madison that could also serve local business needs as well. I participated in company design, product offering design, service design, and location selection. I also created company marketing materials and prospected for new business by cold calls and networking events. I also ran company financials, interviewed and hired potential contractors, and served as project manager on large company projects.

I assisted my father in his general information technology consulting company. We served a small network of clients in all aspects of information technology including: network upgrade, network design, network install, server upgrades, wireless design and install, software support, voice support, and internet carrier support. We also contracted to major retail and corporations to do consulting and project work. Those clients included names such as Yum Foods, American Eagle, and AT&T.

I worked as a floor salesman after college classes selling all types and brands of shoes. I also stocked the shelves and ran the cash register and promoted the overall company objective of sales and customer service.

I assisted my dad with his wireless network company in all aspects of the business. Primarily I assisted in wiring locations for antenna deployment and in troubleshooting networks to achieve maximum efficiency. I also went along on sales calls and met local business owners. During this time our projects ranged from manufacturing, to hospitality, to municipalities. In each instance we fulfilled the project from idea phase to actual network design, configuration, deployment, adjustment, and fully functional.
