1.Stand in for Planning Supervisor in case of training or leave2.Advise Treatment Supervisors in case of electrical/mechanical breakdowns to avoid excessive downtime3Advise Treatment personnel for mechanical plant modifications4.Liaise with mechanical / electrical department regarding maintenance work orders 5.Assist treatment operators regarding on-job training to help identify plant problems6Assist Treatment Supervisors on day shift to put teams together in case of excessive spillages 7.Help to identify the right equipment for plant applications8.Help maintain a safe environment by doing regular VFL`s on plants9.Help Treatment Supervisors/engineering with scheduling of planned maintenance10.Assist Treatment Supervisors with report writing regarding equipment failure when equipment failures occur11.Assist with safety auditing on Treatment plants12.Help scrutinize downtime reports to avoid the same problems and advise on best practice13.Keep track and help with non-stock orders for Treatment Plants14.Attend daily Treatment production meetings 15.Ensure to assist treatment personnel to achieve required quality products daily, and give meaningful advise to maintain quality standards16.Assist Treatment supervisor to get rid of bottle necking in production activities17.Ensure dayshift tasks are done on time18.Ensure work orders are signed off regular by liaising with planning and production departments19.Help assist Treatment Supervisors to raise work orders against the correct equipment20.Perform standby duties as per schedule 21.Help with Treatment product stocks on weekly/monthly basis – record keeping22.Help maintain a good safety filing system by co-sign and check the system files on a monthly basis 23.Assist the Treatment Supervisors to stay within budget regarding consumables and reagents24.Ensure he keep track with own development program by schedule himself for relevant training within his development needs

1.Repair and Maintain all hydraulic,electrical and mechanical equipment.2.Ensure timeous preventitave maintenance checks and report on any defaults recorded.3.Ensure optimum plant availability for production team.4.Isolate and de-isolation of equipment for maintenance procedures on shift.6.Ensure all lubrication systems are running and check/refill in conjunction with preventitave measures7.Replacement of equipment eg. Pumps(slurry,centrifugal,hyraulic etc)8.Replacement of equipment eg. Electical(circuit breakers,overloads,electrial AC/DC motors etc)9. Faultfinding on elecrical equipment eg.Cables,Drives,Inverters,transformers etc10.Issueing of permit to work and the insurance of all Safety,Health and Environmental systems.12.Mantenance on crushers,conveyor systems,pneumatic conveyors etc
