As I reflect on my journey with Just On Cosmetics, I am filled with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude. When I joined the company, it had a modest network of 38 stores. By the time I departed, we had successfully expanded to over 60 stores nationwide – a testament to our collective effort and growth.I stepped into an emerging marketing department where the extent of marketing efforts was limited to promotional leaflets, newspaper, and radio adverts, all managed directly by the CEO. Over a span of 4-5 years, I had the privilege of transforming this department into a dynamic, 10-member team. This team, comprising talented designers, traffic controllers, and promotional staff, not only enhanced our existing strategies but also introduced innovative in-house production and distribution of materials such as posters, POS, and radio recordings.One of the significant challenges was the lack of a marketing budget and a mechanism for generating income within the department. With strategic planning and relentless effort, we turned this around. By the end of my tenure, we were successfully securing advertising contracts worth millions for 3-6 month cycles. This was achieved through proactive engagement with brands and suppliers, offering them valuable advertising opportunities across various platforms.These accomplishments not only speak to the growth of Just On Cosmetics but also to the development of a robust, profit-generating marketing department. It was a journey of turning challenges into opportunities and aspirations into realities.
