My current role is Advanced Manufacturing Engineer with Vertical Aerospace, I am helping develop the processes and philosophies for manufacturing the exciting new eVTOL aircraft as well as building the prototypes. In my previous role Composite Research Engineer for GKN Aerospace based at the Filton site in Bristol, UK. My current role sees me working as part of a team developing ground breaking carbon fiber composite components and processes for manufacturing components for future aeronautics applications witihn commercial and defence sectors. My professional experience prior to this was as a Manufacturing Engineer which required me to support manufacturing activities for GKN's fixed trailing edge assembly for the Airbus A350 and wing spar manufacture for the A400M. Prior to this and still with GKN I was a Composite Operator. My academic background is in Sustainable Product Design and Aeronautics.
