I am a technology delivery engineer focusing on becoming a better leader, but that is only a part of my story. I have spent time in a number of positions and disciplines, continuing to educate myself in all things tech, operations, service delivery, and leadership. Like a lot of other IT folk, I started my IT life on a service desk doing end user support. I have since managed the operations of several networks large and small, wore every hat imaginable including manager, director, LAN, WAN, data center, virtualization, architect, designer, implementer, and the vaunted "hey that guy knows IT" guy. I have spent time co-managing a diverse team of developers in a foreign country, and even played a Technology Director once.So now you are asking yourself what ACTUAL value do you bring to the table?- An ever widening and diverse background in the technology stack- Willingness to work outside my comfort zone - When the house is on fire I can maintain composure and deliver- Translate technical details to non-technical humans and the executive level, into business drivers and value- Believe in continuous knowledge consumption and maintaining a growth mindset- Understand it's not the technology, it's how you use it- Active listening...yes, while this may seem boring, this IS a skill and one that can be very difficult
Listed skills include Security, Disaster Recovery, Integration, Vmware, and 45 others.
