Summary: Implemented a variety of radar-related DSP algorithms on an SoC/FPGA system. This included implementation both on the FPGA and on the multi-core processor in an embedded Linux environment.Created various FPGA IP cores to accelerate radar-related DSP algorithms.Developed the software integration for the IP cores in the Xilinx RFSoC, in bare metal and Linux environments.Created embedded applications to run real-time radar algorithms.

Summary: Conducted FPGA and SoC related research with the BYU Configurable Computing Lab. This included research areas such as digital radiation effects, high-level synthesis, and FPGA security.Helped push the frontier of prompt dose radiation testing by developing a network-connected, semi-automatic memory testing platform using a Zynq-7000 FPGA, FreeRTOS, and custom PCBs.Developed testing methodologies for testing SoCs in an SEU environment. Learned about the physics of semiconductor radiation effects. Used low-level FPGA architecture details to explore accelerated aging techniques.Developed communication skills through the writing and publication of several academic papers.
