During my time as an employee of KeyBanc, I was the junior member of a five person fixed income brokerage team. Primary trading products were investment grade corporate debt, asset-backed securities, commercial aircraft Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificates (EETCs), and municipal bonds. Our clients included institution money-managers, hedge funds, and insurance companies. My primary role was to assist the senior members of my team by providing them with the following: -Market and inventory analysis (as Excel-based models) that utilize data from previous trades. -Written commentary for clients that is specific to their portfolio holdings. -Actual trade execution (in the absence of the salesperson responsible for the client that we are trading with). - Marketing efforts to establish new trading relationships with buy-side firms.
