Responsible for maintaining the health, capacity, and timely repair of a fleet of servers across a complex of data centers owned and operated by a major social networking company. Performed both routine and critical, emergent maintenance needs, swapping damaged, defective, or failing parts, managed through an in-house IT ticketing and inventory system. Collaborated with a team to solve emergent hardware problems occurring at scale. Worked in liaison with a team dedicated to ensuring the security and proper destruction of storage media containing user and business data, maintaining strict, monitored, and unbroken chain-of-custody, from installation to replacement or decommission, in order to protect the privacy of everyday users and security of internal systems.

Provides on-site technical support for live events, such as lectures, concerts, exhibitions, andfilm screenings, hosted through UNC Asheville’s Cultural Events and Special Academic Programming department; this includes support for venue-provided A/V equipment, computers, and media, as well as computers and equipment brought in by presenters, performers, or other users of the space. Facilitates the setup and teardown of technical equipment, as well as house management and building management tasks throughout the duration of events.

Working with Dr. Victoria Bradbury in the creation of a Virtual Reality-based installation artwork about a woman tried and sentenced in the Salem Witch Trials. Fabricates, and develops, and integrates software solutions for the use of various 3D assets using the Unreal 4 development environment. Creates aesthetic and visual elements for the project.

Develops web-based solutions for the National Environmental Modeling and Analysis center using HTML5, JavaScript and CSS. Works on both public-facing NEMAC websites and internal tools that help augment and facilitate workshops with members of project-associated communities and governments.

Retrieved, recorded, and interpreted usage data from web-facing projects, products, and services maintained by the National Environmental Modeling and Analysis Center. Accessed and assessed Google Analytics-provided user data through the web-based tools provided by the service, and also created tools that use Google Analytics APIs for raw access to user data for the purpose of interpretation and dissemination through the creation of reports and data visualizations.

Created lesson plans for a multi-week JavaScript creative coding project using the p5.js library, and developed, taught, and facilitated an introductory lecture and live tutorial for said project. Assisted students with HTML/CSS/JavaScript code, providing conceptual, troubleshooting, and debugging support.
