I now have 13 years of experience, of which 6 years as a mortgage advisor. Mortgages are not ‘sexy’, and you don’t have many flavors these days. For many people, a house is the biggest purchase of their lives. It is therefore understandable that they have many questions and want to know exactly what they are signing for. Mortgage advice is more than ‘applying for a mortgage’. Good and appropriate mortgage advice gives peace of mind and removes a lot of stress from customers. And that’s what I love about my profession.Together with my brother Joery, I have a mission: to make mortgages and insurance fun, accessible and understandable (yes, that is really possible). This resulted in our business concept for Vraeg Van Aelst. No tailer-made culture and dull terms, but personal contact and clear communication. We translate complicated material into understandable language. We also build (small and large) friendships and relationships for live with our customer, so that every contact moment remains accessible.Buying a home in the Netherlands is often a complex process for expats. This is mainly because they are not or little familiar with the unique tax system in the Netherlands. As a result, expats often have questions about the process and would like to know what to take into account when buying a home. At Vraeg Van Aelst we guide expats throughout the entire process in understandable English. We are familiar with the English jargon and can therefore inform the expats well during every step of the process.
