Wesley Belden is a former investment analyst turned fintech entrepreneur. Belden began his career at Great American Insurance, one of the largest property and casualty firms in the U.S., as an investment analyst and fund manager. During his tenure, he helped manage over a billion dollars in assets. Belden caught the entrepreneurial itch and left Great American Insurance and began consulting with hundreds of businesses.In 2018, he co-founded Raise Financial, a fintech company whose family of products aim to help millennials and GenZ, invest long-term for their children and themselves.The company’s first product Raise Education (formerly known as Scholar Raise) streamlines 529 college savings account setup and enables parents to easily ask friends and family members to contribute through simple shareable links. To date, they’ve helped American families save over $3 million in future education expenses.Four years later, he began building their second product, Raise Investment, which aims to help millennials and GenZ invest more effectively in the stock market. The concept has already caught the attention of more than a thousand waitlisters and Barclays — the global bank selected the startup to participate in its 2023 Rise Accelerator Program.
