I am a second year student at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, majoring in Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Finance. I have a passion for public speaking while collaborating with peers, team development, and making a big difference at the organization through my work. I first demonstrated these strengths my senior year of high school, I took on a leadership role on the boy's swim team and worked to mentor my younger teammates on technique, team culture. After leading the team through example and hard work, I realized I greatly enjoyed communicating with everyone and felt deeply rewarded by everyone's accomplishments. Outside of high school I was a member of the Future Philanthropists Program where I worked with peers to fundraise over $100,000 and donate over $52,000 to local nonprofits.Now at Indiana University, I continue to seek new opportunities and experiences to expand my leadership and communication skills in academic environments and organizations. As a member of IU's Club Water Polo Team, I am developing my teamwork skills and making lifelong connections through a rigorous work ethic at practices, tournaments, and social events. I am committed to improving the team by pushing my teammates and strengthening my bond with all of them. Over the past summer I worked as a manufacturing apprentice at Alpina Manufacturing where I learned the intricacies of product development while improving my assembly skills. Finally, I am strengthening my teamwork, conflict resolution, and customer interaction skills as a security worker at Kilroy's Sports Bar. I collaborate with a great team to bring patrons the best experience possible.I plan to further develop my leadership ability and grow my involvement throughout my time at Indiana University. I was selected to be a member of the Larry and Barbara Sharpf Entrepreneurship and Innovation Workshop where I am connecting my entrepreneurial skills with a future career path and acquire professional skills and networks. Being a part of second class, I am excited to help develop the workshop's curriculum and presence while learning from my peers. Furthermore, I cannot wait to continue my commitment to the club water polo team and intend to serve as an executive member next year. I look forward to utilizing every opportunity I get to engage in business creation and innovation, with my goal being to eventually form my own talented team at an innovative company.
