Responsible for coordinating the recruitment and placement of 400 Native Speaking Teachers a year in 250 branches across five countries (Taiwan, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore) as well as providing human resource management for 600 NSTs currently employed. Duties include assistance with compiling the necessary documentation to apply for work permits, resident visas, alien resident certificates (ARCs), national health insurance; tax reporting; policy development; new management training; intercultural training; interpersonal coaching; third-party mediation between foreign and Taiwanese staff; briefing and advising the HESS board of directors, chief executive officer, and company president.

Was responsible for facilitating branch communication through the review of staff monthly reports and coordinating with branch management; conducting weekly teacher meetings and monthly management meetings; maintaining clear channels of communication with other branches and HESS Main Office; coordinating staff contracts and arranging staff replacements; evaluating current staff to determine the suitability of contract renewal; tracking and administering staff remuneration and enacting pay raises; maintaining and organizing staff schedules; maintaining and assigning classroom materials; providing branch orientation and training; facilitating intercultural training with foreign and Taiwanese staff; generally, being proactive with problem-solving, diffusing problematic situations and preserving the chain of command.

Was responsible for creating an enthusiastic and educational environment for students ranging from toddlers to adults; demonstrating a keen ability to creatively meet the individual needs of classes, while accomplishing the educational goals of the HESS Language Program; sustaining a high level of patience and reliability in and out of the classroom; taking part in and hosting multiple competitions and teaching demonstrations for audiences as small as 10 and as large as 4,000.
