The Combat Medic Specialist is primarily responsible for providing emergency medical treatment, limited primary care, and health protection and evacuation from a point of injury or illness through the continuum of military health care• Developed advanced life-saving skills and conducted rigorous training to fulfill requirements to become a both a soldier and a certified medic throughout the span of 26 weeks (Basic Combat Training [10] Advanced Individual Training [16])• Planned and executed a walk-in clinic at the brigade level for approximately 3,000-5,000 soldiers across 7 states, working closely with medics, physician assistants, and doctors to perform examinations and render care, maintaining force readiness• Engage in continued monthly training in addition to a two-week annual training consisting of but not limited to medical coverage for training exercises, medical classes, treatment facility setups, patient care simulations, and marksmanship
