Howdy! I'm Wesley Harmon, an Appalachian based professional actor, singer, and general performer!I just graduated with my B.A in Theatre (Musical Theatre concentration, Dance minor) from East Tennessee State University! While on campus, I participated in productions of Little Shop of Horrors (Mushnik), King Lear (King of France), Bright Star (Ensemble), and most notably starring as Matt in the regional premiere of Young Jean Lee's drama Straight White Men, for which I was nominated for Irene Ryan Performance Award from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Off the stage at ETSU, I worked 55+ Hours in the scenery and costume shops helping to build productions of Androcles and the Lion and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. Aside from theatre, I was also a familiar face in ETSU’s Department of Music, singing baritone and tenor in the ETSU Chorale, an internationally recognized touring choir. Professionally, I was a 2023 member of The Barter Players, Barter Theatre’s non-Equity company of performers, this summer as a performance intern. The Barter Theatre has a near 90-year history of producing world class and meaningful theatre for the people of Southwest Virginia and beyond! I’ve also worked as a performer for the past two years throughout Western North Carolina. Since May of 2021, I’ve portrayed eight characters across six different shows at Tweetsie Railroad, a wild west theme park in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. My work at Tweetsie included stunt performance, acting, singing, dancing, audience interaction, stage management, and construction of themed experiences. While employed at Tweetsie, I also performed in two shows at Parkway Playhouse in the Summer of 2022: Working: A Musical and Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood.Currently, I'm making my national tour debut with PAW Patrol Live: The Great Pirate Adventure! I'll be on the road with my good friend Rubble the Bulldog until May 2024!
