Breaking down barriers to health for Baltimore's youth and creating an inclusive community centered around creating access to health and wellness for Baltimore.At MissionFit, we know that all too frequently youth don't have access to the space or the knowledge necessary to achieve their health goals. In Baltimore, one in three high-schoolers is overweight or obese, and even high school athletes don't get access to a gym. Funding for programs to teach health and wellness have been slashed. Youth experience trauma all too frequently, and don't have a nourishing method by which to blow off steam or access to safe space where their health is the #1 priority. MissionFit is that space. We provide positive mentors, health services, personal training, and fun for youth - whether they be an aspiring athlete or just want to look good at prom, Baltimore City's health is our mission.

I am currently working to develop a Mentor program for long time Holistic Life Foundation program participants in need of support to bridge the gap between elementary and high school mindfulness programs to create a “continuum of care” that starts in elementary school and supports students through high school graduation, entry into the workforce, college, and beyond. The Mentor Program, Holistic Roots, will nurture, inspire, and motivate mentees to successfully navigate middle school and expand their vision for the future. The program supports students with a network of care, which is especially vital for those living with trauma. The program will introduce students to people and ideas that will help them flourish in middle school and successfully advance to high school.In my role as Program Manager, my job is to recruit mentors, develop the curriculum, oversee data collection, recruit and manage relationships with partners, and ensure overall program quality. Additionally I work to support the program and the overall organization through grant applications and partnership development.

- Coordinated with and facilitated connections and activities with the Youth United group, which consisted of 11 high-school interns, organized to actively prevent and spread awareness about youth violence in the Nashville area
