Subject: The development of a venting cap-neck combination suitable for sterile processing in a cleanroom environment.Within my thesis a structural approach is defined to develop a venting closure-neck combination for a 5 liter canister used in a cleanroom environment. With the development of a new closure-neck combination leaking and bloated canisters should be prevented. Central in this approach is the study on the effect of gamma irradiation on the packaging. Within the ideation phase three different scenarios are defined wherein packaging design fulfils a role as assurance of performance, beneficial contributor or stimulant for innovation.
