Partner with faculty and staff as the ACE Teacher Leader and Teaching Excellence Initiative (TEI) Expert to focus on accelerating transformation on our campus through social and emotional learning and development, parent engagement, collaboration through increased professional development and training for faculty and staff and data driven instruction.- Spearheaded campus transformation as an ACE Teacher leader, achieving a 40% rise in School Progress, 49% rise in “Closing the Gaps”, and a 10% rise in Student Achievement on our campus scorecard in my first two years at the school- Awarded teacher of the month in April 2020 out of 50 teachers on campus for creating weekly virtual content and lessons for students and serving as a role model for other teachers during the pandemic- Established the first choral program for students and facilitated interdepartmental collaboration to plan and execute 6 annual performances focusing on seasons, culture, music, poetry, and educational technology

Boude Storey Middle School

Built a 120-student competitive concert band from scratch, recruiting students, promoting the program and investing in the students through practice, private lessons, and school program participation- The Dallas Morning News interviewed me and published an article highlighting my role in the revival of the Boude Storey Middle School band program- Invested extra time before and after school to host practice time and private lessons for low-income students - Made pointed decisions on music selection that would both challenge students and get them excited to play their instruments, choosing music they recognize or that was upbeat, energizing and stimulatingManaged a budget of $3,000 allocated to repairs, new instruments, music and contest fees- Inventoried and personally tested 100 instruments during my first year, making minor repairs and identifying instruments that needed extensive repair to send to DISD’s instrument repair facility- Invested in purchasing music that was both challenging and fun for students to promote concert band- Participated in the Sandy Lake Music Competition for the first time in the school’s history, receiving the highest rating for concert band
