Bill is a retired mathematician and software developer, marketer and eventually a software financier. Until Oct 2017, Bill was on the Board of CardioComm Solutions, Inc. a global leader in ECG/EKG data management. This is the company that he founded in 1989. TSX:EKG.Bill has a life-time interest in astronomy and astrobiology and is a Research Fellow of the Institute for the Study of Panspermia and Astroeconomics. In 2000 Bill joined Microsoft and served in Malaysia, UK and Paris where he eventually became EMEA Finance Industry Marketing Manager. In 2018 Bill was part of a team of scientists who co-authored a paper called "Cause of Cambrian Explosion - Terrestrial or Cosmic?". This was a major peer-reviewed paper published by Elsevier. In 2015 Bill co-authored a paper with Professor Chandra Wickramasinghe called "Rosetta Studies of Comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko: Prospects for Establishing Cometary Biology". In 2014 Bill co-authored a paper with Professor Chandra Wickramasinghe "Convergence to Panspermia". In 2014 Bill was co-author of a paper entitled "Preliminary Results of Observations in January 2014 of a meteor shower of Comet C/2012 S1 (ISON)".In 2013 Bill authored a paper called "2013; Life is a Cosmic Phenomenon: the search for water evolves into the search for life".In 2005 Bill co-authored “Business Diagnostics 2005” .
