This position is a continuation of my Systems Programmer consulting activities for the State of Ohio/OIT which began (full-time) in 1992. I am also the Supervisor of the Technical Support Team. I still maintain all my previous JES and z/OS Systems Programmer duties that carried over from my consulting days with greater emphasis on budgeting and coordination of projects.My Systems Programmer duties include, but are not limited to, Mainframe and z/VM product installations, Capacity Planning and Systems tuning as well as continual & various day to day activities.In my current position, I am the lead z/OS Senior Systems Programmer and Supervisor overseeing a very complex, diverse, large and multi-faceted SYSPlex environment with continued emphasis on Disaster Recovery and Data Center consolidations cost saving measures.

This was a company I formed and during its tenure I consulted for a number of clients with diverse business interests in both the private and public sectors. PF1 Consulting was fundamentally formed to assist companies in their Year 2000 conversion efforts.During PF1’s existence, I served as both a partner and active consultant with responsibilities for finding assignments and the overall monetary health of the company.PF1 Consulting had approximately 12 staff and/or 1099 employees.While serving as a partner in PF1 Consulting, I continued to own and run Presson Consulting.

Worked successfully as a Mainframe Systems Programmer Consultant on a number of accounts with varied hardware and software configurations.I also served as a partner in EDR.

Served as the lead MVS Systems Programmer.While at VSC, we undertook and completed a Hewlett-Packer to IBM MVS conversion.Additional duties included assisting all members of Technical Support, Operations and Production Control.

Initially responsible for CICS, MVS, VTAM, VM and overall system availability & maintenance. Later I served as the fulltime lead Systems Programmer for VM, which included,but was not limited to, installation and tuning of all aspects of the VM system(s).

Responsible for all third party products and CICS/MVS maintenance.

Lead CICS Systems Programmer with additional responsibilities for CICS and MVS maintenance.

Initially responsible for all third party products and then moved into the lead CICS Systems Programmer role. I began as a programmer with experience in both COBOL and PL1 dealing with batch and CICS command/macro programs.While at Blue Cross, I completed my degree at Ohio State.

Served as the manager of a three (3) person shop running a Honeywell GCOS-62 Computer. KCET-TV was, at the time, and still is, the largest Public Television station in California.
