As Group Chief Shared Services / Systems Officer, my responsibility covers the organization’s systemic approach to operations in order to ensure organizational effectiveness, sustainability, financial strength and routinely reports to the highest ranking executive; the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO). I work closely with the CEOs and the executive and management team to ensure effective implementation of the organization’s systems, including its strategy and the achievement of its strategic objectives. In this context, my roles as GCSO, in collaboration with internal and external parties is accountable for all operational indicators that are achieved on both the subsidiaries’ (Real Estate, Manpower and Logistics, Oil & Gas Fabrication, Construction, Education, Florist, Jewelry and signature brands like Mont Blanc) and the Group levels. I also, provide the systemic leadership necessary to ensure that the organization has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and the people systems in place to effectively ensure the organization’s soundness and steady growth. As GCSSO, I complement the GCEO’s experience, style, and knowledge-base in order to make sound strategic decisions, while leading, coaching, and guiding both the PMO and the CMO teams and utilizing the Shared Services model to put all these plans into action. In that sense, all the supporting functions (Human Capital, Employee Experience, IT, PMO, Business Process Management, Marketing & Internal Comms, Customer Experience) report directly to me.
