About West Aron

As an attorney candidate focused on trial experience, I am most excited to become a counselor to my clients and an instructor to the juries that judge them. These two skill sets, counseling and instructing, are what drew me to the practice of law. I've developed them through coursework on relevant topics and work experience in mental and behavioral health. It is important to me that clients and jurors feel the justice system fulfills its promises and treats each citizen fairly. As a law student, I am developing my professional skills as well as my substantive understanding of the law. My role as the Student Bar Association's Treasurer provided the opportunity to apply the project management skills I've learned through self-directed study to a challenging transition in operations. Also, working with the Public Interest Law Project to develop a 1L Initial Foundational Experience gave me room to lead without authority while developing those same project management skills on a self-initiated project.
