I am a native of Western North Carolina, my family’s presence there dates back to the early 1800s. I served the people of Henderson county for 18 years first as an assistant to the zoning/inspection administrator for three of those years and then was a real property appraiser for 15 years. I was a member of the Intl. Assoc. of Assessing Officers for 15 years. Due to my strong familial connections to Henderson & Transylvania Counties, I have a keen interest in genealogy and local history. Finding joy in serving, Susan has been active as an administrative board member at both the local and denominational church levels.
