Everybody has a story to be told, but not everyone has the means to tell it through written word. My goal as a writer is to engage in stories I find meaningful, and to give them a voice through my craft. At Oregon State University I had the ability to learn from a plethora of brilliant, published writers such as Keith Scribner, Sindya Bhanoo, Jennifer Richter, J.R Bushnell, and more. I had the opportunity to partake in writing workshops with gifted peers where I learned to produce work within a deadline, to receive and digest criticism, and to give valuable feedback to others work. Within this program I learned to be a more persuasive writer, and a more focused, compassionate reader.In the past, I've worked a wide array odd jobs. These ranged from working as ranch-hand, to working as a secretary for Furman Hall. I've been a pizza delivery driver, a bag room attendant at a country club, and have worked in a few restaurants. These jobs were all basic regarding their qualifications, but the diversity of work I performed in them has provided me a wide skillset that I will be able to bring to any job, and a sense of humility too.
