From a personal experience of having loved ones in care, I feel truly humble and proud to be able to work in and be part of the fantastic and inspirational care sector.It means so much to me that our friends, families and loved ones are compassionately cared for by our wonderful and skilled teams. This is why I passionately believe in investing in our workforce and giving them the right skills to provide fantastic care. I am now extremely fortunate to work alongside members of our learning community and inspirational care providers such as The Salvation Army, WCS Care, Brendoncare, Keychange Charity, Outlook Care and many more to help deliver outstanding learning & development.Working at Altura Learning, a Skills for Care Centre of Excellence and collaborating with the National Care Forum, Care England and National Care Associations to support our fantastic workforce deliver outstanding quality care through innovative learning and shared best practice.I regularly speak to quality care providers who are looking for more quality and consistency in the learning that is delivered to their teams. How their workforce might not currently be engaged with learning and see this as just a ‘tick box’ exercise! Want to make learning more accessible to everyone and don’t necessarily have the tools to be able to report on all training in one place and then confidently be able to demonstrate this on inspection.I believe by learning from each other we can inspire ourselves, our colleagues and friends to achieve greater things.
