• Supports Electric, Transportation, and Water-Wastewater GIS/Technology needs (GIS Centric)• Supervises 3 Public Services GIS/Technology Specialists (also interns and contract labor as needed)• Project manages GIS/Technology related installations, upgrades, and development• Current major projects FY 2012: 1. Complete CMMS (computer maintenance management system; Maximo) version upgrade with GIS integration2. Develop plans and approach to multiple application integration (GIS centric approach which includes but is not limited to: application and gis database schema modifications, professional services contracting, and staff training)3. Identify and create a development plan for data analysis using GIS Server capability (professional services contracting, pilot project and staff training)

Achievement Highlights:• Created and manages the enterprise geodatabase for the State Parks Division, incorporating best practices for database administration and user management. • Created the State Parks GIS data models (Parks and Lands); Parks data model includes both natural and infrastructure features and Lands data model includes parcels, rights and uses covenants, and scanned legal instruments. • Established a new GIS server configuration• Set the standard for documentation regarding the GIS SDE Server Run Book and geodatabase organization structure (schema diagrams and data dictionary).• Established productive lines of communication and cooperation between State Parks and IT divisions• Hired contract staff for scanning all the State Park land instruments (deeds, easements, surface use agreements, etc.) then continued to use contract staff for entering in via GIS software (COGO) all the deed calls to create ownership parcels of land. Responsibilities:• GIS database management, schema development and maintenance• Daily ArcSDE and SQL Server Administration• GIS related software and hardware upgrades• ArcGIS Server applications using Adobe Flex.

Achievement Highlights:• Supervised the digitization of potential natural areas. Assisted a staff biologist in building and populating the database as the project progressed. Wrote script that generated over 100 maps for the final report.• Develop a geographic database for screening, evaluating, and prioritizing sites for considerations by the Land Acquisition Board. Performed parcel research, supervised the digitizing, built a substantial data base of information, and wrote program for producing over one hundred report quality maps and plotted numerous wall maps Responsibilities:• Performed spatial analysis and generated statistics,• Writes macros and scripts for generating presentation and report maps • Maintains and documents digital map and imagery database, • Writes monthly GIS activities reports to governing boards, • Responsible for all GIS and PC related budgeting, • Provides Unix system administration and informally administers the office PCs.
