Ever since I was a child, I had an interest in electronics and how they did the things they do. Admittedly, a large part of that fascination stemmed from my enjoyment of video games, but that interest blossomed throughout my life and eventually led me to where I am today. During high school, my interest in programming was solidified by an introductory computer science class I took that taught me how to think like a programmer and the basics of program design. That class was the highlight of my day while I was taking it, and from then on I knew I wanted to work in the computer science field. Presently, I am a honors student studying Information Technology at the University of North Texas. I hope to find an internship opportunity where I can be part of a mutually beneficial relationship. More specifically, I want to use the experience gained from the internship to help decide my area of specialization, and in return, admirably perform what is expected of me.I have a history of going above and beyond, as demonstrated by my 4.0 overall GPA, my placement in the President's List every semester, and my membership in the UNT Honors College and the honor society Alpha Lambda Delta. These activities and accomplishments have taught responsibility and time management since they require exceptional performance in classes and balancing free time with responsibilities. Furthermore, I have experience with working in teams. For example, I have worked on a long-term group project that required coordination, communication, time management, and negotiation with other group members. While working on the project, I was responsible for the design and implementation of various data structures to store and calculate complex data.I expect to graduate in spring 2025 and hope to find 2023 summer internship opportunities to bolster my experience. As for relevant coursework, I have completed CSCE 1030: Computer Science I, CSCE 1040: Computer Science II, MATH 1680: Elementary Probability and Statistics, and MATH 1710 Calculus. I am currently taking TECM 2700: Technical Writing, CSCE 2100: Foundations of Computing, and CSCE 2110: Foundations of Data Structures.
