The innovation interns were tasked with redesigning one of Growmark's internal web applications from the ground up. The application was meant to be a hub for managing all of the other internal applications that the company uses. This opportunity has given me many fantastic experiences including a taste of full stack development, knowledge of working in a team, and the challenge of learning many new technologies in a short time period. One of the most important takeaways from this internship was discovering that I specialize in front end development. I got to work with the database layer, the access layer, and the presentation layer during the course of our project. While I enjoyed all three layers, the presentation layer was definitely where I excelled.

I began teaching myself how to make games in C# while I was a student at Illinois Central College. I have yet to release my first game, but this experience has taught me a lot about project management and self discipline. I am currently working on a game called Let There Be Light. Finding time to work on this project between my full-time job and my daily resposibilities is tough, but it is always very rewarding to hit one of my milestones.
